3. Raise the mower by pulling up on the mower lift
lever until the two mower locking pins can be
removed.
4. Adjust mower to the desired height and reinsert the
mower locking pins. Be sure to lock them behind
the pin locking tabs.
5. Now adjust the other side of the mower to match.

6. When not in use, the lift bar may be stored on the
mower frame as shown in Figure 7. During
operation and storage, loop the chain on the pin
locking tab.

6.4 ADJUST HEIGHT OF CUT (50" MOWER)

1. Raise one side of the mower by pulling up on the
handle until the mower locking pins can be
removed.
2. Adjust the mower to the desired height. Insert the
mover locking pins into the desired holes and
ensure the pins are locked behind the handle.
3. Adjust the other side of the mower to match

6.5 DECK DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT

1. Stop the engine. Remove the ignition key.

1. Long Mower Belt
2. Short Mower Belt
3. Long Belt Idler Spring
4. Short Belt Idler Spring
2. Remove the belt guard from the support frame.
3. Long Belt - Loosen and remove the spring from the
idler arm. Remove the old belt.
4. Short Belt - When replacing the short belt, the long
belt must be removed first. Loosen and remove the
spring from the spring anchor. Remove the old belt.
5. Arrange the new mower belt(s) on the spindle
sheaves and the idler pulley, short belt first.
6. Put the idler springs back on the spring anchor and
idler arms. Tighten hardware.
7. Put the belt guard back on the support frame.
