2. Pump grease into each fitting as follows:
For the pillow-block bearings, pump 1 shot of
grease into each fitting (Figure 32).
For the trunnions, pump several shots of grease
into each fitting until it starts to ooze out of the
bearing housing (Figure 32).
Important: Pump grease in slowly and carefully
to prevent damage to the bearing seals.
3. Wipe up any excess grease.

Lubricating the Motor Bearings

Service Interval: Every 6,000 hours
Grease type: electric-motor bearing grease
1. Clean around each grease fitting with a rag.
2. Pump 1 or 2 shots of grease into each fitting (Figure
33).
Important: Do not over-lubricate the motor.
3. Wipe up any excess grease.

Lubricating the Drive Chain

Service Interval: Every 40 hours—Lubricate the drive chain
with a non-sticky chain lubricant.
Apply a chain lubricant that is non-sticky to help prevent dirt
and abrasive particles from sticking to the chain.
