FEATURES AND CONTROLS
Operating Angle Adjustment
The transom brackets have five holes for adjusting the operating angle (forward
stop movement) of the outboard. Tilt stops are installed for adjustment in the
first hole. Use tilt pin provided for adjustments in the remaining four holes.
Remove tilt pin when using the tilt stops.

Adjust the operating angle of the outboard so that the outboard runs
perpendicular to the water when the boat is at full speed.
Arrange passengers and load in the boat so the weight is distributed evenly.

Too much angle (bow up) ‑ adjust in.

Not enough angle (bow down) ‑ adjust out.
c -
Angle adjusted properly (bow slightly up).
NOTE: The outboard should be locked against the tilt stops or tilt pin during
operation by setting the tilt lock lever to the lock/run position.
Consider the following lists carefully when adjusting the operating angle of your
outboard.
