Mantel:
Avoid placing candles and other heat-sensitive objects
on mantel or hearth. Heat may damage these objects.
NOTICE: Clearances may only be reduced by means
approved by the regulatory authority
having jurisdiction.

the appliance. High temperatures may ignite
clothing, furniture or draperies. Maintain a
minimum clearance of 3 feet (914mm) in front
of appliance.

appliance.
Do NOT store flammable materials in the
appliance's vicinity.
DO NOT USE GASOLINE, LANTERN FUEL,
KEROSENE, CHARCOAL LIGHTER FLUID OR
SIMILAR LIQUIDS TO START OR "FRESHEN UP"
A FIRE IN THIS Appliance.
DO NOT BURN GARBAGE OR FLAMMABLE
FLUIDS SUCH AS GASOLINE, NAPHTHA OR
ENGINE OIL.
DO NOT USE CHEMICALS OR FLUIDS TO START
THE FIRE.
Keep all such liquids well away from the appliance
while it is in use.
Combustible materials may ignite.

M. Thermostat Operation
For accurate temperature control and comfort, correct
location is very important. On new installations, the
guidelines listed in the installation manual under
Thermostat Installation should be followed as closely
as possible.
To operate the thermostat simple slide the Slide Control
that is located at top of thermostat, left or right to adjust the
temperature of the room (Figure 13.1).

NOTE: A thermostat can only control temperature near it.
If you find that it is uncomfortable some distance
away from the thermostat, change the setting in
order to compensate for this.
