AI + Blood Pressure Measurement
This section explains how to simultaneously measure AI and blood pressure using both arms.
To measure AI and blood pressure alternately, follow the instructions on page 61 to change
the AI measurement sequence.
Apply the AI pulse wave sensor unit to the left

wrist and the cuff to the right arm.
(Refer to pages 24 – 26.)
Make sure the patient's name and ID are
displayed at the upper left corner of the screen.

If nothing is displayed, follow the instructions on

pages 51 - 56 to register or retrieve the ID
information.
If the ID information is not registered, only the date, time and
results will be saved.
Check that the BP and AI measurement
methods in the lower-left part of the screen are
both displayed.
Press the START button [Start measurement].

Inflation of the sensor unit and cuff will begin.
Do not press the START (Start measurement) button
without applying the AI pulse wave sensor unit. In
addition, do not press the START (Start measurement)
button without wrapping the blood pressure cuff.
Do not the allow the AI pulse wave sensor unit to slip
during AI pulse wave measurement.
* If you wish to stop during measurement, press the STOP
button. Deflation will occur rapidly.
* When measurement takes more than 5 minutes, the device will
automatically stop.
* Pressing the DISPLAY button during measurement will turn off
the screen and stop the measurement.
When performing simultaneous dual-arm measurement
and the AI measurement duration is set to 15 or 30
seconds, the AI pulsewave sensor pressure and blood
pressure cuff inflation will begin at the same time.
Make sure the tonogram in the top middle of

the screen rises and forms a triangle. [Fig. 3]
