7) Remove the actuator paddle from the switch mount.
8) Wipe down the switch mount and actuator paddle with 1 part of Hoshizaki "Scale Away"
and 25 Parts warm water. Rinse the switch mount and actuator paddle thoroughly with
clean water.
9) Replace the actuator paddle back on the switch mount. Replace the proximity switch.
10) Replace and secure the bin control assembly back in its correct position.
11) Replace and secure the water tank back in its correct position.
12) Move the control switch to the "ICE" position.
13) Plug the icemaker back into the electrical outlet to start the automatic icemaking
process.
14) Replace the louver back in its correct position.
E. Float Switch Check and Cleaning
FS is used to determine that there is sufficient water in the water tank after the 1-min.
fill cycle and after each harvest cycle. FS is also used to determine that the appropriate
volume of water has been converted into ice before switching out of the freeze cycle.
No adjustment is required.
1. Float Switch Check
To check FS, follow the steps below.
1) Remove the louver, then move the control switch to the "OFF" position. Move the
service switch to the "DRAIN" position, then move the control switch to the "SERVICE"
position. Allow the water tank to drain completely.
2) After all of the water has drained, move the control switch to the "OFF" position, then
unplug the icemaker from the electrical outlet.
3) Remove the control box mounting screws and lower the control box access CB.
4) Disconnect CB K1 connector from CB.
5) Check for continuity across FS leads. With the water tank empty, FS should be open.
If open, continue to step 6. If closed, follow the steps in "II.E.2. Float Switch Cleaning."
After cleaning FS, check it again. Replace if necessary.
6) Reconnect CB K1 connector to CB, then replace the control box in its correct position.
7) Plug the icemaker back into the electrical outlet, then move the control switch to the
"ICE" position. After 1 min., the 1-min. fill cycle should end and the initial harvest cycle
should begin. If the initial harvest cycle begins, FS is good and the check is complete.
If the initial harvest cycle does not begin, continue to step 8.
8) Move the control switch to the "OFF" position, then unplug the icemaker from the
electrical outlet
9) Remove the control box mounting screws and lower the control box access CB.
10) Disconnect CB K1 connector CB.
