8.6 STB Vendor ID

Set-Top Box (STB) devices with dynamic IP addresses sometimes don't renew their IP addresses before
the lease time expires. This could lead to IP address conflicts if the Set-Top Box continues to use an IP
address that gets assigned to another device. Use this screen to configure the Vendor IDs of connected
Set-Top Boxes, which have the VMG automatically created static DHCP entries for them when they
request IP addresses.
Click Network Setting > Home Networking > STB Vendor ID to open this screen.

8.7 Wake on LAN

Use this screen to turn on a device on the LAN network. To use this feature, the remote device must also
support Wake on LAN.
You need to know the MAC address of the LAN device. It may be on a label on the device or in its
documentation.

These are Set-Top Box's Vendor Class Identifiers (DHCP option 60). A Vendor Class Identifier is
usually used to inform the DHCP server a DHCP client's vendor and functionality.
Click Apply to save your changes.
Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
