Assembling and positioning the
lamp
We have preassembled parts of the
lamp. First put the components together
completely before operating the lamp.
>
Take all lamp components and the
light bulb y from the packaging.
>
Remove all packaging and adhesive
foils.
>
Screw the lamp rod
of the bulb holder.
>
Now, carefully and slowly pull the
power cable r from the lamp ped-
estal e whilst, at the same time you
move the lower end of the lamp rod w
towards the thread of the lamp pedes-
tal e.
>
When the lamp rod
the pedestal e, screw the inner thread
of the lamp rod w onto the thread of
the lamp pedestal e.
>
When screwing the lamp rod ele-
ments together, take steps to ensure
the power cable r is not damaged
in any way!
>
Assemble the three lamp shade ten-
sioners i.
>
Extend the lamp shade
length and insert the lamp shade tension-
ers i as shown.

Unscrew the coupling ring
the bulb holder and deposit the lamp-
shade q by its ring retainer on the
bulb holder.
>
Rescrew the coupling ring
onto the bulb holder and then firmly
tighten down the lampshade q.
>
Now remove the light bulb
packaging and screw it into the bulb
holder.
>
Place the lamp at a suitable location,
as detailed in the Safety Instructions..
>
Unwrap the power cable
sert the plug into a properly installed
household power socket.
Press the On/Off switch
>
the lamp on. The light bulb y will
heat up quickly - do not touch it again
until it has cooled down after being
switched off, otherwise you will be
burnt.
>
Press the On/Off switch
again to switch the lamp off.

Changing the light bulb

CAUTION!
Check to ensure that the power plug
is removed from the wall socket. If
the lamp has been in use, first allow it
to cool down completely. This avoids
the potential risk of being burnt.
>
Turn the bulb
y anti-clockwise until it
can be removed from the bulb holder.
>
Insert the new light bulb

it is firmly fitted.
