Wheel Locks

Wheel locks are fitted to both drive wheels on all model chairs. Wheel locks should be
engaged whenever a transfer is made and / or when the wheelchair is stationary.
1.
To apply the wheel locks push the hand lever forwards as Fig 31 shows.

To release the wheel locks pull the hand lever backwards as Fig 32 shows.
3.
Do not use the wheel locks to try to slow or stop the wheelchair when it is
moving or whilst declining an incline. You may veer out of control or tip over.
4.
Low pressure in a rear tire may cause the wheel lock on that side to slip and
may allow the wheel to turn when you do not expect it.
5.
If the wheel locks on the C650 chair which equipped with 12-1/2"x2-1/4" mag
wheel shall work in the opposite direction to all other model chairs. Pull to
operate, push to release as Fig 33 shows.
6.
Wheel locks can be adjusted as tyre wear increases. To adjust, loosen the frame
mounting clamp and slide the wheel lock backwards. Tighten the clamp and
check to see the wheel lock engages correctly when locked, moreover when
released the wheel lock do not engage the tyre. Your selling Dealer can assist
with adjustment.

Hip belt

The nylon made quick-lock hip belt can be fitted on each side frame, Belt length
adjustable see Fig 40.
