8 WORD SYNC OUTPUT connectors
7 REF IN connectors
6 DIGITAL OUTPUT EDIT PVW
1 and 2 connectors
1 PRIMARY INPUT IN1 to IN8 connectors
(BNC)
These input up to eight channels of serial digital video
signals with embedded audio signals. Each video
channel carries four embedded audio channels.
Connectors IN1 to IN4 can be used with the standard
unit, and use of connectors IN5 to IN8 requires the
optional BKNE-1030 Extended Input and Keyer
Board.
2 ⁄AC IN connector
With an AC power cord (not supplied), connect this
inlet to a 100 to 240 V AC power supply.
3 Signal ground terminal
If necessary, use this to ground the unit.
4 DIGITAL OUTPUT PGM (program) 1 to 3
connectors (BNC)
These output the serial digital video signals for the
program to a VTR, server, local storage system, or
other device. Each video channel carries four
embedded audio channels.

1 PRIMARY INPUT IN1 to IN8 connectors
2 ⁄AC IN connector
3 Signal ground terminal
4 DIGITAL OUTPUT PGM 1 to 3 connectors
5 DIGITAL OUTPUT CAPTURE connector
5 DIGITAL OUTPUT CAPTURE connector
(BNC)
This outputs the serial digital video signal to be
captured. By connecting this to an optional BKV-100
Serial Digital Video Input Board installed in the
computer, you can display an overlay on the computer
monitor.
6 DIGITAL OUTPUT EDIT PVW (preview) 1
and 2 connectors (BNC)
This outputs the serial digital video signal for the edit
preview. There are no embedded audio signals.
7 REF IN (reference input) connectors (BNC)
To synchronize the DNE-1000 with an external device,
input an analog reference video signal (black burst
signal or sync signal). The two connectors provide a
loop-through connection, and whichever connector a
signal is input to, the same signal is output from the
other connector. If not using the loop-through
connection, connect the supplied 75-ohm terminator to
the unused connector.
8 WORD SYNC OUTPUT connectors (BNC)
These output a word sync signal synchronized to the
internal reference signal of the DNE-1000. Use this
signal to synchronize the word clock signal of an
external audio device to this unit.
