Solution
Drain oil level with fill hole or to full mark on dipstick.
Replace seals.
Clean off wrapped material and check seal areas daily.
Slip clutches per instructions under "Lubrication
Points" on page 67.
Avoid hitting solid objects.
Lubricate every 8 hours.
Raise cutting height.
Adjust clutch per instructions under "Lubrication
Points" on page 67.
Replace clutch plates.
Remove foreign object.
Reduce lift height in transport position.
Reposition drawbar.
Shorten driveline shaft.
Not lubricating enough.
Avoid hitting solid objects.
Lubricate every 8 hours of operation.
Use pry bar or other tool to separate cutting blades
before unfolding the wings.
Engage power take-off at low rpm and then slowly
increase engine speed to full power take-off speed.
See "Engage Blades" on page
Disengage blades at low rpm or change to a driveline
with over-running clutch.
Raise cutting height. Change to low lift blades.
Raise cutting height.
Tighten blade hardware, refer to "Cutter Blades" on
page
59.
Operate cutter at proper power take-off speed.
Avoid hitting solid objects.
Tighten shaft nut to specified torque.
Replace gearbox bearings and / or shaft.
Avoid hitting solid objects.
Adjust cutter height.
Raise cutting height.
Inspect area before cutting. Do not hit solid objects.
Replace driveline or distribution shaft.
Replace blade carrier.
Replace blade.
Inspect and unlock blades.
Disassemble and inspect driveline for incorrectly
located needles or damaged bearing cap.
Replace each pair of blades on the affected carrier.
Remove elbow fitting and unplug orifice.
Axle bushings may need replacing.
Rephasing may be required.
