After 15 seconds, the backlighting turns off. To turn

Keypads
Tips for using the keypads
When you press an alphanumeric key on a keypad,
the number is selected (for tasks where numbers
are appropriate) or a letter is selected (for tasks
where letters are appropriate).
Each key has more than one letter available, and
you fi nd a letter by continuing to press the key until
you see it.
• Letter: Without pausing, press a key repeatedly
until you see the letter of your choice.
• Pause: Pause between characters, until the
new character position is highlighted.
• Spaces: On a handset, press 0 to enter a space.
On the base, press #.
• Corrections: On a handset, press
Erase to erase the last character that you
entered. On the base, press
