Correcting a Problem with
the Automatic Thread Cutter
CAUTION:
Be sure to unplug the power supply cord in order to
reduce the risk of injuries or electric shock.
1. Turn off the main power supply.
2. Raise the Presser Foot Lever and slightly turn the
hand wheel either toward or away from you so
that the tangled thread and the fabric can be
removed.

3. Turn the hand wheel toward you to raise the
thread take-up to its highest position. If the bobbin
holder has moved over the bobbin, move it to the
left.

4. Remove the bobbin, then feed the lower thread
again from the beginning.
If the threads become tangled again or cannot be cut
with the automatic thread cutter, even after perform-
ing the operation explained above, it may be possi-
ble that the threads are tangled under the needle
plate. Clean the needle plate and shuttle as ex-
plained below.
