Web Connection

Problem
Connection to Web
Connection cannot be
established.
The screen display be-
comes abnormal.
Single-byte centered
dots are displayed on
the screen.
Part of deleted charac-
ters is still displayed on
the screen.
The number of digits al-
lowed in the entry/dis-
play area differs from
the number of charac-
ters that can be regis-
tered.
Some characters can-
not be registered or
displayed.
Space characters can-
not be registered or
displayed.

Cause
The IP address is not
specified on this ma-
chine.
The URL specified in
the browser is wrong.
A setting in the browser
is wrong.
When the proxy setting
is configured in the
browser and the proxy
server cannot recog-
nize the IP address of
this machine, the Web
Connection screen
does not appear.
The LAN cable is bro-
ken.
The the wireless net-
work setting is wrong.
The optional Upgrade
Kit UK-213 is defec-
tive.
The browser size is re-
duced.
The font size is improp-
er.
This display may occur
in some browsers.
The display processing
differs depending on
the browser.
In some browsers, the
entry area scrolls. In
browsers with a non-
scrolling entry area, this
is a matter of display
and has no effect on
the actual registration
operation.
Depending on the oper-
ating system, some
characters cannot be
registered or displayed.
(For example, single-
byte kana characters)
Spaces entered at the
end of a word may be
invalid.
Correction action
Specify the IP address.
In the URL, enter the IP
address specified for
this machine.
In some network con-
figurations, a connec-
tion setting for
accessing this machine
must be configured.
For details, contact
your network adminis-
trator.
In the browser's proxy
setting, add the IP ad-
dress of this machine to
a field for exceptions
where the proxy server
is not used.
Replace the LAN cable.
Check the wireless net-
work setting with your
network administrator.
Contact your service
representative.
Enlarge the browser
size.
Specify the proper font
size for the computer
and browser.
