5. Remove the TTU.
6. Remove the fine aligning unit from the aiming tool
base by loosening the securing screw without taking
it off. Carefully slide the fine aligning unit out.
Attach the aiming tool base. Orient the screw of
the aiming tool towards the purging inlet such
that they form one line (arrows in adjacent figure).
The screws of the alignment tool shall only be
moved by hands. Never use wrenches!
7. Start with the coarse aligning unit. Slide it into the
aiming tool base.
8. Now you will see a light spot from the light source,
provided it is turned on.
Focus by moving the outer part as indicated in the
adjacent figure until you get the smallest and
sharpest possible spot. The size of the square spot
depends on the distance between the receiver and
the transmitter; the longer the path the smaller the
spot.
Use the lens hood to suppress ambient light for a
better visibility of the focused light.
9. Align the transmitter using the supplied Allen key as
follows:
1. Start with the axis x direction – untighten screw 1
and progressively tighten opposite screw 2 step
by step until the focused spot appears on the
y axis of the crosshair. Then tighten screw 1.
2. Continue with axis y direction - untighten screw 3
and progressively tighten opposite screw 4 step
by step until the focused spot appears in the
center of the crosshair. Then tighten screw 3.
