The feed dogs are lowered.
5 Turn on the sewing machine, and then select a
stitch.
• For details, refer to "Selecting stitching"
(page 54).
6 Use both hands to stretch the fabric taut, and
then move the fabric to follow the pattern.
Reinforcement stitches are sewn at the
beginning and end of sewing.

7 After sewing is finished, slide the drop feed
(to the lever to
front of the machine) to raise the feed dogs.
