The AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP) board is fully compatible with all versions of AT-GPIB hardware. You can use standard GPIB cables to connect the AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP) with up to 14 instruments. If you want to use more than the maximum number of instruments, you can order a bus extender or expander from National Instruments.

Remove the corresponding slot cover on the back panel of the computer. Insert the AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP) board into the slot with the GPIB connector sticking out of the opening on the back panel, as shown in Figure 4-1. It might be a tight fit, but do not force the board into place.

Windows NT. By default, Windows NT does not configure ISA Plug and Play hardware. The AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP) board is an ISA Plug and Play board and must be configured using the NI-488.2M software after you install the hardware.
In the GPIB Configuration dialog box, click on the Controller Resources button to set resources for the board. Does the AT-GPIB/TNT+ board work under Windows NT version 4.0 or higher? Yes, the AT-GPIB/TNT+ board can be used under Windows NT version 4.0 or higher, but only with the Controller functionality; the Analyzer functionality is not currently supported under Windows NT.
