7 Maintenance

7.1 Servicing and Inspection

The UK Health and Safety Executive's Lifting Operations
and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) require
any equipment that is used in the workplace (e.g.
by a paid carer) to lift a load be subject to safety
inspection on a six monthly basis. Refer to the HSE
web site for guidance www.hse.gov.uk. Link to HSE

If the cleaning and safety notices are observed, the product
is maintenance free.
Risk of Damage
The hand control may only be opened by the
manufacturer of the bath lift.
1. Check the product regularly for damage and to ensure
that it is securely assembled.
2. In the event of damage and/or necessary repairs,
contact the dealer immediately.
3. The bath lift must be checked by an authorized dealer
before every re-use. It is recommended to check the
bath lift after 24 months at the latest (in accordance
with DIN EN ISO 10535).
4. If the bath lift is not used for a prolonged period, charge
the battery completely every 3 months. This helps to
maintain the service life of the battery.

7.2 Cleaning and Disinfection

7.2.1 General safety information

CAUTION!
Risk of contamination
– Take precautions for yourself and use
appropriate protective equipment.
CAUTION!
Risk of electric shock and product damage
– Switch off the device and disconnect from
mains, if applicable.
– When cleaning electronic components consider
their protection class regarding water ingress.
– Make sure that no water splashes to the plug
or the wall outlet.
– Do not touch the power socket with wet hands.
