After this adjustment is performed, lift
the front and rear wheels off the ground
by placing a block under the engine,
and spin the rear wheels to ensure
there is no brake drag. If any brake drag
is noticed, perform the above steps
again.

LIGHT SWITCH
NOTE:
_
The rear brake light switch is operated
G
by movement of the brake pedal.
The rear brake light switch is properly
G
adjusted when the brake light comes
on just before the braking effect starts.
1. Check:
rear brake light operation timing
G
Incorrect → Adjust.
2. Adjust:
rear brake light operation timing

a. Hold the main body (1) of the rear
brake light switch so that it does not
rotate and turn the adjusting nut (2) in
direction (a) or (b) until the rear brake
light comes on at the proper time.
Direction Brake light comes on
(a) sooner.
Direction Brake light comes on
(b) later.

1. Check:
parking brake cable end length (a)

Out of specification → Adjust.
Parking brake cable end length
47 ~ 51 mm (1.85 ~ 2.01 in)

Après ce réglage, surélever les roues avant
et arrière en plaçant une cale sous le moteur
et faire tourner les roues arrière pour
s'assurer que les freins ne frottent pas. Si les
freins frottent, effectuer une nouvelle fois le
procédé décrit ci-dessus.

Le contacteur du feu stop sur frein arrière

est actionné par le mouvement de la pédale
de frein.
Le réglage est correct si le feu stop s'allume

juste avant que le frein n'entre en action.
1. Contrôler:
synchronisation de l'allumage du feu stop

sur frein arrière
Incorrecte → Régler.

synchronisation de l'allumage du feu stop

sur frein arrière

a. Maintenir le corps (1) du contacteur de feu
stop pour l'empêcher de tourner et tourner
l'écrou de réglage (2) dans le sens (a) ou
(b) jusqu'à ce que la synchronisation du feu
stop soit correcte.
Sens (a) Le feu stop s'allume plus tôt.
Sens (b) Le feu stop s'allume plus tard.
