You can manage and configure the switch module through multiple interfaces.
A Telnet connection to the embedded command-line interface (CLI)
For more information, see Chapter 4, "Configuring the switch module through the Telnet
interface," on page 19.
A Web browser (Advanced Web Tools) interface
For more information, see Chapter 5, "Configuring the switch module through the Advanced
Web Tools interface," on page 23.
Record information about your switch module in the following table. You will need this information
when you register the switch module with Intel.
Product name
Model number
Serial number
Media access control (MAC)
address
Worldwide name (WWN)
The switch module has the following labels:
One product name label at the right side of the switch module
One serial number label, which contains the product part number and serial number, at the left
side of the switch module
One safety certification label at the left side of the switch module
One media access control/worldwide name (MAC address/WWN) label at the left side of the
switch module
One media access control address (MAC address) label at the bottom of the information panel
See "Major components of the switch module" on page 8 for the locations of the labels that contain
the MAC address/WWN and serial number information.
