Camera ready light status

If... Try one or more of the following
I
Ready light does Turn on the camera
not turn on and the
I
Recharge the battery or install a new one
camera does not
I
Mode dial was on when battery was reloaded. Turn Mode dial off, then
work
back on.
I
Ready light blinks Picture is being processed and saved to the camera. Camera is
operating normally.
green
I
Camera is connected. Camera is operating normally.
I
Ready light blinks Recharge the battery or install a new one
red and camera
turns off
I
Ready light glows Shutter button is pressed halfway down. Focus and exposure are set.
Camera is operating normally.
steady green
I
Ready light glows The Mode dial is set to Favorites. Camera is operating normally.
steady orange
I
Ready light blinks Flash is not charged. Wait. Resume picture taking when the light stops
blinking and turns off.
orange
I
Auto exposure or auto-focus are not set. Release the Shutter button
and recompose the picture.
I
Ready light glows Camera's internal memory or card is full. Transfer pictures to the
computer
steady red
image storage locations
memory
I
Camera processing memory is full. Wait. Resume picture-taking when
the light turns off.
I
Card is read-only. Change image storage location to internal memory
(page 36), or use a different card.
