Is Your Motorcycle Ready to Ride?
Check these items after you get on the
motorcycle:
Check the freeplay and adjust if
Throttle
needed. Rotate the throttle to
make sure it moves smoothly
without sticking, and snaps shut
automatically when it is
released, in all steering positions
(page 71).
Squeeze the front brake lever
Brakes
and step on the rear brake pedal
to check that the controls
operate normally (pages 82, 86).
Check for proper adjustment
(page 82).

Before Riding
Check for smooth operation and
Clutch
adjust if needed (page 72).
Lever
Turn the ignition on and check
Indicators
for normal operation of the
indicators (page 18).
Remember, be sure to take care of any problem
you find or have your dealer correct it before
you ride.
