Operating via SIMATIC PDM

Notes:
• SITRANS LG200 supports SIMATIC PDM version 6.0 and above.
• Some special features are only available in PDM Version 6.0 SP2 and above.
• For a complete list of parameters with instructions, see

SIMATIC PDM is a software package used to commission and maintain SITRANS LG200 and
other process devices. Please consult the operating instructions or online help for details on
using SIMATIC PDM. (You can find more information at www.fielddevices.com: go to Products
and Solutions > Products and Systems > Communications and Software > Process Device
Manager.)

Functions in SIMATIC PDM

SIMATIC PDM monitors the process values, alarms and status signals of the device. It allows
you to display, compare, adjust, verify, and simulate process device data.

Electronic Device Description (EDD)

Note:
SITRANS LG200 requires the EDD for SIMATIC PDM version 6.0 with SP2 and
HF1, or higher. If using a Multiplexer, SIMATIC PDM version 6.0 with SP2 and HF3 or
SIMATIC PDM version 6.0, SP3 is required.

the latest version of SIMATIC PDM, the most recent Service Pack (SP) and the most

Write Protection

The Write Protection feature of the LG200 will prevent unauthorized users from changing
parameters in the device.
Note:
The password must be set locally at the device. This cannot be done from
