c) When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always fit
the blade scabbard. Proper handling of the hedge trimmer
will reduce the risk of injury from the cutter blades.
d) Ensure that all power switches are off and the battery
block is removed or disconnected before servicing the
hedge trimmer or removing accumulated cuttings.
Accidental switch-on of the hedge trimmer while servicing
it or removing accumulated cuttings may result in severe
injuries.
e) Hold the hedge trimmer by the insulated handles only
because the blade may touch hidden electric cables.
Contact of the blades with a live line may render metal
parts live and cause an electric shock.
f) Keep any kind of electric cables away from the cutting
area. Cables may be hidden in hedges or bushes and get
nicked accidentally by the blade.
g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather, in particular
not when there is a risk of lightning. This reduces the risk
of being struck by lightning.
