Work Area and Surroundings

4.5.1 Long-reach hedge trimmer
WARNING
￭ Bystanders, children and animals cannot recognize or
assess the dangers of the long-reach hedge trimmer or
flying debris. This may result in serious injury to
bystanders, children and animals and damage to property.
► Do not allow bystanders, children
or animals within 5 meters of the
work area.
► Maintain a clearance of 5 meters from objects.
► Do not leave the long-reach hedge trimmer unattended.
► Make sure that children cannot play with the long-reach
hedge trimmer.
￭ Electrical components of the long-reach hedge trimmer
can produce sparks. Sparks may cause fires and
explosions in highly flammable or explosive environments.
Persons may be seriously or fatally injured and property
