INTRO Play - Playing the first ten seconds of each track
1. Press MODE button during play until "Intro Scan"
appears in the display window.
2. It starts intro play automatically (play each track
for approx 10 second).
• Automatically INTRO play always starts from
the track that immediately follows the current
running one.
• By pressing "
" or "
" button, you may
start intro play from the selected track.
RANDOM Play - Playing the selections in random order
1. To random
Press MODE button during play until " Random "
appears in the display window. After all files are
played, the system will stop automatically.
• To locate the next track: press "
". However,
you can not locate a previous track even if you
keep "
" pressed.
2. To random all
Press MODE during play until " Random All "
appears in the display window. All tracks will play
without sequence repeatedly.

3. To random dir (for MP3 only)
Press MODE button during play until " Random
DIR
Dir " appears in the display window. It can play
all tracks of a directory on MP3 disc without
sequence.

NOTES:
• In any play mode, it runs automatically after few seconds without pressing

• To cancel current play mode
1. Press MODE button during play to change play mode.
2. Press MODE button during play until "Repeat Off " appears in the display
window. It goes back to normal play.
Program Play - Playing the selections in the desired order (in stop mode)
1. Press PROGRAM button in stop mode, "PGM" and
PGM
"P001: 000" appear in the display window.
2. Press "
" or "
" button to select the desired
track, then press PROGRAM button to store this

track in memory.
3. Repeat step 2 to register other tracks.

To Edit Program Play:

Press PROGRAM button lightly during programming before you
press "
". Each time the PROGRAM button is pressed, the
track number appears in the display window.
To add:
To add additional tracks to your selection in stop mode, press

" button first and then press PROGRAM button repeatedly
until the last program number (for example, " P003: 000 " )
appears in the display window.
Repeat the above steps 2 to store additional tracks.
To change: When checking, press either "
" or "
" button to alter the track
number for the program currently displayed. Press PROGRAM
button to register the newly selected track into memory.
To delete:
Open the CD door or press "
" button twice.
Notes:
• Repeat and INTRO play can be performed during program play.
• The program is also erased when the disc compartment is opened or the
auto power off function turns the power off.
• To cancel program operation, press "
" button once.
EQ FUNCTION
During playback, press EQ button to select different music mode. Each time EQ
button is pressed, the music mode will be changed to the next one as follows:
NORMAL -> S-XBS -> TRAIN -> LIVE -> POP -> JAZZ

DIGITAL SKIP PROTECTION SYSTEM
The Digital Skip Protection System incorporates a special electronic circuit
that prevents sound from skipping when the unit is subject to shocks
and vibration during play.
When the unit receives a physical shock which prevents the laser pick-up
from "reading" the CD, this system immediately starts playing the sound
stored in its memory and continues until the laser pick-up recovers.
If the unit is subject to continuous shocks and all the data stored in memory
is used up the sound will skip.
If the vibration stops then the data memory will be restored. To reset the CD
player, press "
" button.
MP3-CD PLAYBACK
To play MP3-CDs
• This set can read CD, MP3 disc.
1. Place a MP3 disc with the label side up, and push
the CD centre lightly to set it in position.
2. Press "
" to start playback.
The "
" icon, current album and track
number and its elapsed playing time appear in the
display window.
3. Press "
" button to stop playback.
Skipping a track/album
• You can skip a track/album in playback mode.
• In stop mode, the total number of files (tracks) and albums appear in the
display window.
1. Press "
" or "
" to skip a track / album according to the desired
directory, each press skips one track. During play, the first press on the
skip backward "
" button goes to the beginning of the current track.
2. In stop mode, press "
" to start playback. During playback, it starts play
automatically.
Searching a file
Basically this system supports two modes to search a file at high-speed.
One is to search a directory level; the other is to search a file number.
1. Press DIR button to make directory search mode

(default is file search mode).
The " DIR " icon
appears at the left upper corner of the display.
2. Press "
" or "
" to search a directory and
then directory number is displayed.
3. Press DIR button again, the "DIR" icon disappears.
It goes back to the default mode.
4. Press "

" to search a file and then the
file number is displayed.
CONNECT CD PLAYER TO SPEAKER SYSTEM
AC POWER CONNECTING
• Before use, check that the rated voltage of your unit matches your local
voltage before plugging the AC power cord into an AC outlet.
CAUTION:
• Be sure the AC power cord is disconnected and all functions are off
before making connections.
• To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully
insert (For USA and Canada only)
• Please remove any standard Alkaline batteries from the MP3/CD player
prior to placing on the Docking Station.
Connect
Connect the CD player
1. Hold the top of the player, put it on the
speaker system.
2. Push it downward and make sure the
connectors are fully inserted.
Remove
Remove the CD player
1. Hold the MP3 player.
2. Push the player upward and take it out.
Note:
• Never use metal objects to touch the connectors.
• Do not touch the lens when install or remove the player.
Important:
• Be sure to use it near the wall outlet, If a malfunction occurs, disconnect
the plug from the wall outlet at once.
• When the AC power supply cord is connected, the LCD lights up and the
time appears on the display. Disconnect the AC power supply cord from
the AC outlet when not in use.

LISTEN TO CD/MP3 THROUGH SPEAKER
1. Slide CD/RADIO switch to CD.
2. Press
ST.BY button to turn on the Docking Station.
3. Press
PLAY/PAUSE button to start play.
4. Press VOLUME-/+ button to obtain desired volume level.
5. Press "
" button to stop.
Note: After use, please disconnect the AC power supply cord from the AC
outlet (the time display will disappear).
RADIO RECEPTION

• Adjust the VOLUME-/+ button to obtain the desired
volume level when listen to radio.
SELECT BAND
1. Slide CD/RADIO switch to RADIO.
2. Press
ST.BY button to turn on Docking Station.
3. Press BAND button to select FM or AM, the changed
band will appear on the display.

PRESET CHANNEL
• 10 stations on FM band can be preset.
• 10 stations on AM band can be preset.
1. Press BAND button to select the desired band (AM or
FM).

flashes on the display. Then press PRESET button
to set desired channel.
4. Press MEMORY/SET button to store.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to preset other stations.
TUNING INTO A PRESET CHANNEL
Press PRESET button repeatedly to select the desired preset channel.
TO SEARCH FOR A STATION QUICKLY (Auto Search)
Keep "
TUNING
" button pressed until the tuner starts searching for

a station. After tuning in a station, the search stops.
To stop the Auto Search manually, press "

" button.

• The Auto Search may not stop at stations with very weak signals.
FOR BETTER RECEPTION
FM: Extend the FM wire antenna
AM: Rotate the unit to find the position
fully.
which gives the best reception.
NOTE: Do not connect FM wire antenna to external antenna.
CLOCK SETTING
• The clock display and adjustment is in standby mode or CD mode.
1. Connect AC power, the clock digital will appear on
the display.
• Check that the rated voltage of your Docking Station
matches your local voltage.
2. Press MEMORY/SET button, the clock digital will
flash.
3. Press "

DUAL ALARM SETTING
• Operation should be in standby mode or CD mode.

• Press ALARM button to set alarm sound between
CD/RADIO and BUZZER mode. (BUZZER alarm is
default.)

• The Docking Station can alarm twice per day by
BUZZER
setting different alarm time in ALARM1 and
ALARM2.

• The Docking Station can wake up to alarm with
CD, RADIO or BUZZER sound per the position of
CD/RADIO or BUZZER setting.
Alarm to CD
1. Set Function switch to CD.
2. Insert disc into CD/MP3 Player
3. Set alarm to CD/RADIO mode by pressing ALARM button.
4. Set alarm time as follows (ALARM1 SETTING & ALARM2 SETTING).
Alarm to RADIO
1. Set Function switch to RADIO.
2. Turn on RADIO and tune into the desired station.
3. Turn off RADIO by pressing
ST.BY button.
4. Set alarm to CD/RADIO mode by pressing ALARM button.

NOTE:
• The Docking Station will wake up to CD/RADIO or BUZZER when alarm
timer comes to the preset time. After about 10 seconds, the volume of
alarm will increase.
• To stop CD or BUZZER sound by pressing ALARM 1, ALARM 2 or
ST.BY buttons, to stop RADIO sound by pressing
ST.BY button.
• The RADIO and BUZZER alarm will continue after
5 minutes if press the SNOOZE button.
S N O O Z E
Note: The SNOOZE function is invalid in CD
mode.
• The CD, RADIO or BUZZER sound will automatically turn off after 60
minutes if not press any button.
• To clear the preset alarm time by pressing ALARM1 or ALARM2 button
twice, until "
" or "
" icon flashes. Alarm function will be cancelled
automatically after few seconds.
• To activate the preset alarm time, press ALARM1 or ALARM2 button
repeatedly until "
" or "
" icon appears on the display.
• Press ALARM1 or ALARM2 button to check and modify the preset
ALARM time.
• Can not set CD, RADIO or BUZZER alarms at the same time.
• The Docking Station alarms only one time, if the alarm setting time of
ALARM1 and ALARM2 are same.
SLEEP TIMER SETTING
1. Press SLEEP button to set the sleep time.
2. Press SLEEP button to repeatedly select the desired time changed cyclically
as bellow.
• The power will be off automatically once Docking Station reaches the
sleep time.
• To clear the preset sleep time by pressing SLEEP knob till "
"
disappears on the display.
Note:When play the CD Player, the SLEEP TIMER function is invalid.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Should any problem persists after you have made the following checks,
consult your nearest service facility.
Disc play does not start:
• The disc is inserted upside down or incorrectly. Insert the disc correctly
with the label surface up.
• Dusty or defective disc.
• Dirty or dusty lens.
• The disc compartment lid is not closed.
• Moisture condensation -> Leave the unit in a warm place until the moisture
evaporates.
• The AC power adaptor is not plugged into the wall outlet.
• The unit is not placed on a level surface.
• Weak batteries.
No sound from the headsets:
• The headphones/earphones plug is not firmly connected to the "PHONES"
jack .
• Adjust the " VOL " buttons.
• Dirty plug.
Skipping of sound:
• Dirty or defective disc.
• Dirty lens.
• Strong vibration.
The unit can not be operated:
• No disc , dirty disc or scratched disc. The unit will return to full stop mode
after approx. 30 seconds, or reset the player by pressing and holding "
"
down for about 2 seconds and then insert a disc to start playing.
• When recording on CD-R discs, use 74-minute (650M) discs. Do NOT use
80-minute (700M) discs.
• The CD-R or CD-RW discs should be "finalized" in computer by "single
section format".
The Docking Station does not turn on
• Make sure AC power plug is secure in the outlet, and outlet has power.
• Check that the rated voltage of the unit matches your local voltage.
Poor FM reception
• Electrical interference in you home can cause poor reception. Move the
unit away from sources of interference (especially those with motors and
transformers).
Poor AM reception
• Reposition or turn the unit for better reception.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the unit
Do not use volatile chemicals on this unit. Clean by lightly wiping with a soft
cloth.
Cleaning CD
If the CD skips or will not play, the disc may need to be cleaned. Before
playing, wipe the disc from the centre out with a clean cloth. After playing,
store the disc in its case.
Handling the disc
Only touch the CD on the edge to avoid finger prints on its surface. Do not
stick paper or tape, or write anything on the surface.
