Turning on the Appliance

Starting a wash cycle ...
After performing all of the steps described in the preceding
paragraphs, turn on the water all the way, open the door of
the dishwasher part way, and press the ON-OFF button ("A")
located on the control panel. The "B" indicator light will turn
on. At this point, the machine is on and ready to be
programmed.
Selecting a wash cycle ...
Select the desired cycle by pressing the cycle button "P".
Each time it is pressed, on of the cycle lights ("C") will come
on in succession. Choose the wash cycle you feel is most
appropriate for the type of dishes and cookware that need
to be washed (consult the cycle table in this manual especially
when first using the appliance).
Close the door and after a few seconds the wash cycle will
begin.
If you need to change the setting for the cycle, please read
the section entitled, "Canceling or changing a cycle while it
is underway ...."
The end of the cycle will be signaled by the blinking of the
indicator light ("C") for the cycle that has just ended.
Canceling or changing a cycle while it is underway ...
Premise: You can modify the wash cycle in progress, if it has
only just started.
To modify a cycle that is underway, open the door carefully
(to prevent sprays of hot water and hot steam). Then press
the cycle selector button ("P") and hold it down for a few
seconds. The indicator light for that cycle ("C") will turn off
and the cycle will be cancelled. To set a new cycle, follow
the instructions in the paragraph entitled, "Selecting a wash
cycle ..."

If you forgot to put some dishes in ...
The wash cycle can be interrupted by opening the door
carefully (to prevent sprays of hot water and hot steam). Put
the dishes into the dishwasher and close the door. The
appliance will start up where it left off.
There's been a power failure? Have you opened the
dishwasher door?
The wash cycle stops and then restarts when the electricity
comes back on or when you shut the door.
At the end of the wash cycle ....
The end of the cycle will be signaled by the blinking of the
"C" indicator light. Open the door, turn off the appliance
with the ON-OFF button, shut off the water, and wait a few
minutes before removing the dishes. This will allow you to
handle them when they have cooled down and are less
likely to break. In addition, they will dry better.
