6 Communication between SIPIX SD series and field devices Communication between SIPIX SD series and field devices The following HART modems are used for communication between field device and SIPIX SD: • VIATOR Bluetooth HART Modem, section • VIATOR USB HART Modem, section This section describes the structure of both communication options and the step- by-step connection setup to the field device via SIMATIC PDM (section 6.3) - Page 17 Note The SIPIX SD Series has an integrated Bluetooth Class 1 adapter. Maximum range of the BT HART modem of 100 m can thereby be reached. 1. Click the "HotTab" icon on the SIPIX SD home screen.
