Receiving and Unpacking The UPS

Perform an external inspection of the shipment. When the UPS arrives inspect the shipment for any signs of
damage. Do not attempt to install the UPS system if damage is apparent. If any damage is noted, contact Eaton
and file a damage claim with the shipping agency.
The Eaton Ferrups FX 3100 UPS has a castor kit making it easy to move the UPS to the installation site once it
is unpacked. If the receiving area is far from the site, Eaton recommends that you move the UPS with a pallet
jack before the UPS is unpacked.

For the Eaton Ferrups FX UPS units that come with a supplied ramp follow the following steps:
1.
Remove the outer cardboard container.
2.
Remove any filler boxes or packing material.
3.
Remove the ramp.
4.
Attach the supplied ramp to the pallet with the two brackets and four wood screws provided. See

Remove all the bolts that attach the UPS anchor brackets to the pallet. Retain the brackets if planning to
mount the UPS to the floor.
