Install the Xilinx Vivado Design Suite

The user needs to install the Embedded Edition and System Edition of the Xilinx Vivado
Design Suite. See Vivado Design Suite User Guide: Release Notes, Installation (UG973)
[Ref 17] to install and license the Vivado Design Suite.

Set Up Git Tools

Git is a free software tool for managing distributed version control and the development of
software project files. A Git clone is a full-fledged repository with complete history and full
revision tracking capabilities. Git gives the developer a local copy of the entire development
project files and their existing (published) history on a Git server within a repository
organized as a set of directories. A user must clone a file or folder before using the same
items from the project repository.
The user needs to have a Git client installed on the Linux development PC. Refer to the
Using Git web site (wiki.xilinx.com/using-git) for working with Xilinx Git and see section 4.2
of Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC Software Developers Guide (UG821)
working with Xilinx Git Linux repositories.
