8 Messaging
Settings
You can set parameters related to Emails from the options of any of the Inbox, Drafts,
Outbox, Sent or a directory of My folders.
Now let's take the operations in the Inbox screen as example for description.
Select Email/Inbox. Then, select Options/Settings. You have the following options:
Accounts
It is used to add, edit and delete Email accounts.
1 Select Options/Add account. You can enter the account name and then press
enter "General settings" screen.
2 You can enter parameters related to your account, including "From name", "From addr",
"Protocol", "Incom. server", "User name", "Password" and "Outgo. server".
3 Select Advanced to enter the "Advanced settings" screen. The advanced settings include
"Signature for" (whether your signature is used), "Edit signature", "Delete on server",
"Incom. port" (the port for incoming Emails), "Outgo. port (the port for outgoing Emails)
"Use authentication", "Same as incoming" (whether it is the same as the settings for
incoming Emails), "User name" and "Password". After the setting, press General.
Note:
For more information of the requirements on the account settings, please contact
your Email service provider.
4 On the "General settings" screen, select Save to save this account setting.
5 On the "Accounts" screen, select Activate to activate this account.
6 To delete an account, select the account to be deleted from the "Accounts" screen, then
select Options and select Delete account.
