Knit
stitch
Check
that
seam
former

is
inserted
in
the rear
of
the
machine. Set
the
needle
to
the highest position
by turn-
ing
the hand wheel towards you.
Then
set
the stitch
selector,
the stitch
length dial and the stitch width dial
all to
the blue
color
symbol.
The
knit
stitch
sews
a
stretchable
seam
and finishes
the
seam
allowance
in
one operation. This
replaces both
straight stitching and zig-zag
over-
casting.
You
can use
the
knit
stitch
for
assembling
garments
of all
types
of
fabrics, wherever you want a narrow
and
supple seam.
It
is
especially
desi-
rable
for
knitted
and stretch-type fab-
rics.
Of
course,
the
knit
stitch
can also
be
used
for
overcasting
single
edges.
