9. Emergency Stop
If the manipulator moves abnormally during operation, immediately press the emergency
stop switch.
By pressing the emergency stop switch, the motor power is cut and the dynamic brake
activates and stops the rotation of motor as inertia.
However, you should not press the emergency stop switch during normal operation
unnecessarily. The braking distance depends on timing to activate the emergency stop
switch and motion speed, but robot arm may overrun the stop position under servo-control
and may collide with peripheral equipment.
We recommend pressing the emergency stop switch when the arm is not moving, when you
want to prevent the robot from being operated.
