At the top of the machine there is a control panel for
setting the various stitches, etc.
The machine is equipped with 10 built-in utility
stitches and indicato rs for buttonho ling and sewing on
buttons. Press one of the push-bu ttons (marked with
arrows) under the stitch symbols to engage the required
stitch. Lights will indicate which stitch is set. Each stitch
is
pre-prog rammed with a suitable stitch length and
width for most of the usual types of fabric. If you are
uncertain which stitch is best, you can use the sewing
adviser on Cassette 1. Please refer to pages 19—30.
The right-han d part (the cassette) is interchan geable.
There are two double-s ided cassettes.
Cassette 1 is a sewing adviser— see pages 19- 30.
Cassette 2 contains decorativ e stitches— see pages
43-48. Casettes 3 and 4 should be used when sewing
letters/n ames and numbers —see pages 49—51.
The symbol to the left
Ofl
the control
panel indicates reverse feeding. As long as
the button is depresse d the machine will
sew the selected stitch in reverse. It is also
used when buttonho ling and program ming
decorativ e stitches and letters.
The stitch length is indicated in the left
digital indicato r arid the stitch width in the
right one.
The buttons under the digital indicators
are to be used to increase or decrease the
values from 0 to 6 mm. In certain cases the
stitch length is only variable between 1.5
and 4.5 mm.
With this button the stitch width is
limited for use of the twin needle.

The button with this symbol is for finaliz.

If you just press above the cassette the upper part of it
will he released , enabling ii to be easily lifted out.
Insert a new cassette at the bottom first and then press
it against the machine.
