2.2 HOW TO FIT THE CHILD CAR SEAT
(with ISOFIX SYSTEM) FRONT-FACING:
Gr. 1 (9-18 kg)
The Group 1 child car seat can be fit front-fac-
ing (9-18 kg), ALWAYS using the Isofix connec-
tors and Top Tether.
• Use the lever (Q) to rotate the seat 180°, ver-
ifying that it has locked in the front-facing
position (Fig. 21).
• Position the car seat on the seat of the vehicle
in the front-facing direction.
• Pull out the rigid connectors (C) completely,
pulling the tape outwards (V) (Fig. 22).
• Remove the Top Tether (F) from the door (W)
(Fig. 23).
• To make it easier to fasten the Isofix connec-
tors, it is possible to use the special guides
provided, attaching them to the Isofix hooks
of the car (Fig. 24)
• Fasten the connectors to the hooks present
between the backrest and the seat (Fig. 25).
Once fastening occurs, you will hear a typical
"click" and the indicator will change from red
to green.
• Firmly push the Car Seat toward the backrest of
the vehicle seat to ensure the best fit (Fig. 26).
• Extend the Top Tether strap by pressing the
adjustment button (Y).
WARNING! Pass the Top Tether between the
top of the car seat backrest and the headrest.
Never pass the Top Tether above the car head-
rest.
WARNING! Refer to your car's user manual to
identify where the Top Tether of the child car
seat is attached to the car. This fastening point
is denoted with a specific label and can be
found in the positions indicated by the figures
27A – 27B – 27C – 27D.
WARNING! Check that the Top Tether fastener
used is the one that has been specially desig-
nated. Do not confuse it with a ring used for
hanging bags (Fig. 28).
• Once you have identified the fastening point,
connect the Top Tether hook (X) to it.
• Adjust the length of the Top Tether belt by
forcefully pulling the belt until it is tight. The
indicator on the belt goes green (Z) when the
tether is suitably tight (Fig. 29). Roll up any ex-
cess belt and tie up using the velcro.
The booster cushion can be used without the
pad and without the headrest from 6 kg to 15 kg.
Refer to paragraph 3.1 BOOSTER CUSHION
To disassemble the child car seat, unhook the
Top Tether and the Isofix connectors by press-
ing the release buttons (D) (Fig. 30). To put
them back in completely push them inwards.
Once installation is complete place the baby in
the seat as follows:
• Press the belt adjustment button (S) and hold
and pull both the Child Car Seat belts toward
yourself until the maximum length is reached
(Fig. 31).
• Unbuckle the Car Seat belts by pressing the
button on the buckle (Fig. 32).
• Place the baby in the car seat with care, join
the two buckle tongues and fasten them in
the buckle again (Fig. 33).
• To adjust belt tightness, pull the adjustment
strap (R) upwards with caution until the belt
is suitably tight (Fig. 34).
