Engaging the Parking Brake

Engage the parking brake by pulling the brake lever
up from the handle

Note:
When the parking brake is engaged, the stop
on the control bar prevents you from raising the
control bar to operate the self-propel drive.

Recycling the Clippings

This machine comes from the factory ready to recycle
grass and leaf clippings back into the lawn. To prepare
the machine to recycle:
If the side-discharge chute is on the machine,
remove it and install the side-discharge deflector;

If the grass bag is on the machine, remove it; refer

If the rear-discharge plug is not installed, grip it by
the handle, raise the rear deflector, and insert it
