Accordingly, fo r fast forward of the

When the radio is turned off by press­
ing the " OFF" side of the EQE333
switch or by turning the steering lock
key to the off, the cassette will auto­
matically be ejected.
Care and maintenance
To avoid deterioration of the tone
quality, occasionally clean the tape
head with the special cleaner supplied
in your glove com partm ent or avail­
able through your dealer.
To set clock
Turn steering lock key to position
1 or 2.
Briefly press recessed tim e set

button
by using a pencil or
ballpoint pen.
Enter the time at w hich you want to
start the clock by sequentially press­
ing four of the top row push buttons
113 through E H . The tim e entered
will be displayed.
Note: This is a 24 hour clock and time
m ust be entered in all fo u r digits. A 24
hour clock counts time from m idnight
to midnight, that is 24 hours. A tim e of
4:28 PM is indicated by this clock as
16:28 hours (12 plus 4:28 hours).
Example 1: To enter 7:30 AM,

The time entered is now stored. To
start the clock in accordance w ith a
tim e signal or other tim e reference,
again briefly press the recessed time

A colon sign will appear between the
second and third digits I 'r m
indicate that the clock is activated.
W ith the radio switched off, the time
will be indicated on the digital display.
When the radio is sw itched on, the
digital display will indicate the fre ­
quency which the radio is tuned to.
To display time
Briefly press the call button D
time will be displayed fo r a few
seconds.
To use the timer Q
By using the tim er Q
, the radio can
be automatically turned on at a preset
time. In order to set the t i m e r H , the
steering lock key m ust be in position
1 or 2. The t i m e r H can only turn the
radio on with the steering lock key in
position 1 or 2.
Setting the timer

2. Enter the tim e for autom atic turn­
on by sequentially pressing four of
the top row push buttons Q 3
through E H fo r the 24-hour time
desired.

second and third digits of the

Note: To activate this function each
day, press buttons Q
the ignition key in position " 1" or " 2 " .
The radio will then turn on at the pre­
set time.

W henever you wish to verify the time at
which the tim er is set, press b u t t o n B i .
The time will be indicated in the digital
display. A fte r a few seconds, the
display will sw itch back to the station
frequency. To change the tim er to a
new setting, repeat steps 1 through 3.
