1. pull back the fastening sleeve (6), hold and remove the tool.

Fitting
1. pull forward the fastening sleeve (6) and hold it in position;
2. insert the bit in the front cover (7) as far as it will go and
rotate it; the tool will lock automatically;
3. release the fastening sleeve (6);
4. check that the tool is locked by pulling it.
Changing
1. pull forward the fastening sleeve (6), hold and remove the
tool.

NOTE: The high efficiency available from the rotary hammers
can only be obtained if sharp and undamaged accessories are
used.
Switching on and off
Brief activation
Press the On/Off switch (1) and then let go again.
Continuous use
Switching on
Press on/off switch (1) and retain with locking button (4).
Switching off
Press and release on/off switch (1).

Stepless speed control
The machine runs with variable speed between 0
and maximum depending on the pressure applied
to the on/off switch (1).
Light pressure results in a low rotational speed thus
allowing smooth, controlled starts.
Do not load the machine so heavily that it comes to a standstill.
Variable speed
With the thumbwheel (2) the required speed can be selected
(also while running).
• Press on/off switch (1) and retain with locking button (4).
• Set the needed speed. [F3]
The required speed is dependent on the material and can be
determined with practical trials.
After longer periods of working at low speed, allow the machine
to cool by running for approx. 3 minutes at maximum speed
with no load.
Changing the rotational directions
Operate the rotational direction switch (9) only at a standstill.
With the rotational direction switch (9), the rotational direction
of the machine can be switched (when the on/off switch (1) is
operated, the rotational direction switch (9) is locked.
Drilling and impact drilling
Rotary hammers are able to drill and chisel at a time, or only
drill.
CAUTION
The drilling/impact drilling knob (3) has a safety catch to lock
it in position. For turn it, maintain the safety catch pressed.

Drilling only
This hammer is equipped with a hammer stop facility for smooth
drilling. To activate the drilling function, turn the drilling/impact
drilling knob (3) clockwise to position (right).
Impact drilling
To activate the impact drilling function, turn the drilling/impact
drilling knob (3) anticlockwise to position (left). [F4]

Impact drilling is the only allowed modality.
Maintenance and storage
CAUTION
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.
• Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if present)
cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the appliance
will ensure efficiency and prolong the life of your tool.
• If the tool should fail despite the rigorous manufacturing
and testing procedures, the repair should be carried out by an
authorized IVT customer service.
• Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight, to be sure the tool is in
safe working condition.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
• Use only original spare parts. Parts not produced by
manufacturer may cause poor fit and possible injury.
• Store the tool in a dry room out of reach of kids and away
from any flammable material.
