ADJUST VOLUME [ " VOLUME / MUTE " ]
To increase the volume use the "up" button (18).
To decrease the volume use the "down" button (18).
To mute (silence) the loudspeakers and headphones, press the Mute button (4).
ADJUST TONE [ " CLASSIC / ROCK / POP " ]
Use the Tone Selector (2) to set the tone quality of a track to suit the type of music and increase listening pleasure.
The current setting CLASSIC, ROCK or POP is shown in the display (15) - (blank display = neutral tone).
HEADPHONES [ " PHONES " ]
8-32 ohm stereo headphones can be connected to the headphones connector (21) with a 3.5 mm jack plug. As soon as the headphones plug is inserted,
the loudspeakers are switched off. Please note that high levels of sound can lead to serious hearing damage.

SETTING THE TIME

01) For you to be able to set the time, the equipment must be in Stand-by mode (Operating indicator (23) lights up red).
02) Press the MEMORY/CLK-ADJ button (9) once - the hour display flashes.
03) Set the hours using the Forward button (8) or the Reverse button (12).
04) Press the MEMORY/CLK-ADJ button (9) again - the minute display flashes.
05) Set the minutes using the Forward button (8) or the Reverse button (12).
06) Press the MEMORY/CLK-ADJ button (9) again - the display stops flashing and the clock starts (the "colon" flashes).
SETTING TIMES FOR SWITCHING ON AND OFF [ " TIMER " ]
If the switch-on time feature is enabled then your Designer Audio Unit can be used to wake you at your chosen time.
01) Using the appropriate button select the desired device/source (CD (20) or TUNER (17)).
02) Prepare the sound source, i.e. set the station for the TUNER (RADIO), or insert a CD or program a track sequence if desired.
03) Press the Timer button (6). The display (15) now shows TIMER.
NOTE:
You have five seconds to complete the following steps. Otherwise the process is halted and you must begin again with step 4).
