XEROX DOCUPRINT 96/4635/180 NPS SYSTEM OVERVIEW GUIDE

This chapter introduces the DocuPrint NPS printing system and
describes its hardware and software components, features, functions
and modes of operation.
The DocuPrint NPS system enables personal computer (PC), Sun
Workstation, DEC workstation, HP/Apollo, IBM RS/6000, and Apple
Macintosh users to print PostScript level 2, HP PCL5e, or ASCII
documents on a high-speed Xerox DocuPrint NPS printer.
The DocuPrint 96 NPS prints at a rated speed of up to 96 ppm (A4/
8.5 x 11") in black and white. The DocuPrint 4635 NPS prints at a
rated speed of up to 135 ppm (A4/8.5 x 11") or 154 ppm (7 x 10") in
black and white; the DocuPrint 180 NPS prints at a rated speed of up
to 180 ppm (A4/8.5 x 11") or 206 ppm (7" x 10") in black and white.
Note: Printing of 7" x 10" paper requires installation of an optional
input enablement kit. This kit is available for the 4635 and 180
models.
DocuPrint 96, 4635, and 180 NPS printers support:
Duplex printing
Mixed plex jobs
Media handling of multiple weights, sizes and types
Ordered sets of pre-collated variable stock
Optional modules for enhanced finishing and output to third-
party finishing devices
Optional high-capacity feeder/stackers.
The DocuPrint 96 MICR NPS, the DocuPrint 4635 MICR NPS, and
the DocuPrint 180 MICR support printing of check applications that
require Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) technology.
