What to do
• Make sure the volume setting for any devices connected to the media center is no more than 75% of
maximum.
• Make sure speaker cables are not damaged and the connections are secure.
• For details, refer to "Connecting all of the speakers" on page 14.
®
• Contact Bose
Customer Service to determine if and how other electrical components in the room may
be creating unwanted signals, and the possible remedies.
For contact information, refer to the address list included in the carton.
• Make sure the center speaker cable is connected at both ends.
• In the Settings list, check to be sure that 3 or 5 speakers are selected for play.
• In the Settings list, decrease the Center Channel volume setting.
• In the Settings list:
– Check to be sure 5 speakers are selected for play.
– Increase the Surround volume setting for the source being played.
• Make sure the video sound source is stereo- and surround-encoded, and the component used (TV, VCR,
DVR, etc.) is stereo.
Many scenes in a movie do not engage the rear (surround sound) speakers, which serve primarily to deliver special
effects. Such effects (during traffic or outdoor scenes, for example) help create a more true-to-life experience.
• In the Settings list, decrease the Surround volume setting for the source being played.
• Make sure the left and right surround speakers are connected to the rear speaker jacks.
• For details, refer to "Connecting all of the speakers" on page 14.
