Battery Connections

N N o o t t e e : : Thermo King units are designed for one 12 volt, group 31 battery. The battery must be suitable for deep cycling,
heavy duty, and rated with a minimum of 95 amp/hr.
I I m m p p o o r r t t a a n n t t : : Battery cables must be routed in split loom protective sleeving with no kinks or sharp bends.
Refer to the illustration on the following page for battery cable and fuse installation details.

1. At the unit, locate the large black cable marked P P O O S S + + .
a. Route cable to battery, cut to proper length and add supplied battery cable lug.
b. D D O O N N O O T T connect to battery yet.

2. FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (TK 56239).

3. Route and connect the fuel pump harness to the fuel pump.

4. At the unit, locate the large black cable marked N N E E G G . .
a. Route cable to battery, cut to proper length and add battery lug from installation kit.
b. Connect cable to the N N E E G G A A T T I I V V E E terminal of battery ( ( D D e e t t a a i i l l B B ) ) .
5. All harnesses and battery cables should be neatly routed and secured with provided clamps.
6. Install battery box cover securely (if applicable).

7. Attach supplied nameplate near the battery the unit is connected to (vehicle's battery or battery box).
