erating Manual may not be included as a part of
delivery.

Intended use
This guide frame is intended to be used with the
chain mortiser CM 150 installed. The guide frame
is designed for cutting precise perpendicular mor-
tices in solid wood. The user is solely liable for
damage and accidents caused by improper use of
the product.
For safe work with the electric tool and prevention
of injury, it is imperative to follow all generally ac-
cepted safety principles and regulations for pre-
vention of accidents, and read the enclosed „Safety
instructions" thoroughly. The manufacturer dis-
claims liability for damages caused by unauthor-
ized modifi cations or using other than the supplied
or specifi ed accessories with the tool.

Safety instructions

This tool may only be used, maintained and
repaired by the people who have received the
relevant instructions. These people must have
reached the minimum age legally required. For
GM 145
safe work and familiarizing with all the remaining
risks, they must have read and understood this
Operating Manual.
5.1

Save all warnings and instructions for future ref-
erence.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to
your mains-operated (corded) power tool or bat-
tery-operated (cordless) power tool.
5.2
- Only insert plug in the mains socket when the
electric tool is switched off by the mains switch.
Always keep the power supply cord back away
from the tool while working and allow the cord to
move freely in the whole working area to make
trouble-free work possible.
- The electric tool shall always be used with the
safety guard mounted in proper position.
- Use correctly adjusted and perfectly sharpened
chain cutting tools only. Replace damaged cut-
ter chains or guide rails immediately.
- Secure work in a safe position with enough sup-
port for a workpiece and the electric tool.
- Always keep the power supply cord in a safe dis-
tance from the cutting tool during work.
- After the work is fi nished, only put the electric
tool aside after the cutting tool has come to a
complete standstill.
- Keep hands away from the chip discharge chan-
nel. If the channel is blocked, fi rst the electric
tool must be switched off and allowed to come to
a complete standstill. After that, the chips may
be removed.
- Damaged power supply cords must be replaced
immediately by a specialist.
- Unauthorized use of this product anyway may
lead to a personal injury.
- Repairs shall be carried out by the qualifi ed per-
sonnel only.
- Use only the original spare parts.
- Use safety glasses and ear protection.
5.3
Even when the electric tool is used properly and
all the relevant safety measures are followed, the
following remaining risks can still occur due to the
