A u to m a tic C lim a te C o n tro l
E ffective operation of the climate
co n tro l system can only be assured
w ith all w indow s and the sliding roof
ke pt closed.
The proper use of the autom atic
clim ate control system will add
considerably to your co m fort (well­
being).
The ACC unit will w ork only w ith the
engine running.
Heating, cooling and air distribution
w ithin the vehicle's interior (tri-level)

is autom atically controlled. Further­
m ore, settings are available fo r
extrem e weather conditions, enabling
th e defogging of the w indshield or air
ventilation to top and bottom . This is
accom plished with the tem perature
se le cto r 7, the push buttons, and the
b lo w e r switch 8.
The air outlets 4, 5 and 6 can be
opened, closed or swivelled as
desired. The swivelling outlets 5 can
be opened and closed w ith levers 1
and 3, and outlets 4 with lever 2.
Levers tow ard left = open. O utlets 6
can be variably opened and closed by
tu rn in g of control wheel. Wheel
tu rn e d up = open.
To ensure efficient operation of the
a utom atic climate control system , the
air o u tle ts 4, 5 and 6 m ust be kept
open.
For the rear passenger com partm ent,
a sw ivelling air outlet in the console,
w hich can be opened and closed,
supplies either non-heated, fresh air
o r cooled air. Lever tow ards left =
open.
All push buttons and blow er control
b u tto n s should only be operated
individually. The indicator lamps in the
individual buttons light up when
pressed with the lighting sw itch in
p o sition 1 or 2.

rem ainder of settings fo r special
purposes.
