5.5.4 To assemble the bevel gear
1. Clean all parts and replace worn or damaged parts if
it is necessary.
2. Install the bearings on the input axle and install the
bearings on the output axle. The bearings are easier
to install if the bearings are approximately 110 °C.
WARNING: Use protective gloves.
3. Apply heat to the bevel gear housing until it is
approximately 110 °C.
4. Put the output axle assembly into the bevel gear
housing.
5. Put the snap ring in position.

5.5.5 To lubricate the bevel gear
1. Remove the grease plug (A) from the bevel gear
housing (B).
2. Make sure that the bevel gear is filled 3/4 full with
bevel gear grease. Refer to
8 .
3. Attach the grease plug.
