Additional RTU Open Installation and Trouble-
shooting
Additional installation, wiring and troubleshooting information
for the RTU Open Controller can be found in the following

shooting Instructions."

ECONOMIZER SYSTEMS

The unit may be equipped with a factory-installed or accessory
(field-installed) economizer system. Three types are available:
two with logic control systems (EconoMi$er
EconoMi$er IV) and one without a control system
(EconoMi$er2). See Fig. 53 - 55 for component locations on
each type.
NOTE: For FC rooftop units EconoMi$er IV is available as a fac-
tory-installed option for 04 - 06 units only.
Economizers use direct-drive damper actuators.
IMPORTANT: Any economizer that meets the economizer
requirements as laid out in California's Title 24 mandatory
section 120.2 (fault detection and diagnostics) and/or pre-
scriptive section 140.4 (life-cycle tests, damper leakage, 5
year warranty, sensor accuracy, etc), will have a label on
the economizer. Any economizer without this label does
not meet California's Title 24. The five year limited parts
warranty referred to in section 140.4 only applies to factory
installed economizers. Please refer to your economizer on
your unit.
