5. BASIC OPERATIONS

Turning on/off the power

Note:
• Be careful about using this unit for a long time without
running the engine. If you drain the car's battery too much,
you may not be able to start the engine and this can re-
duce the service life of the battery.
1. Touch the [
] button to turn on the power. It au-
tomatically remembers its last source mode and
will automatically switch to display that mode.
2. Touch the [
] button for more than 1 second to
turn off the power of the unit.

Switching Source Modes

1. Touch the [HOME] button to access the Home
Screen.
2. Select any source mode to switch mode.

Status Bar Display

The clock is displayed on the top left corner of the
touch screen. To adjust the clock, refer to "Settings
Operations".
The RDS indicator is displayed on the top right cor-
ner of the touch screen. To adjust RDS settings,
refer to "RDS Operations".

1) Clock Display.
2) Connected Bluetooth device name.
3) Mute indicator. Lights up when audio is muted.
4) TA indicator
5) Bluetooth Network Signal strength indicator.
Lights up when Bluetooth is connected to the
unit.
6) Bluetooth battery level indicator. Lights up when
Bluetooth is connected to the unit.
7) Bluetooth indicator. Lights up when Bluetooth is

connected to the unit.

Switch to Clock display

1. Press the [
] button to switch to clock display,
while the audio is still heard in the background.
2. Press the [
the display to return to previous display.

Adjusting the Volume

Press the [VOLUME+] to increase the volume;
Press the [VOLUME-] to decrease the volume.
The volume will be displayed overlapping the touch
screen for 4 seconds. Press any area of the touch
screen to immediately cancel the volume display.
* The volume level is from 0 (minimum) to 40 (maxi-
mum). The factory default setting for this volume is
"13".

Press the Day / Night / Auto mode button to toggle
the brightness of the touch screen in the following
sequence:

During Auto mode, brightness of the screen will de-
pend on illumination dimming switch.

Mute Function

Press the [MUTE] button to activate the mute func-
tion. Press the button again to release mute.
Notes:
• The mute function is applied to both volume gains, but it
cannot function while in a phone call.
• Mute will be released by phone call interrupts. Ongoing
voice guidance from navigation applications will not re-
lease mute.
