PROBLEM
Rotisserie burner does not light.
General Symptoms:
Burner does not light. -or- Burner has
a small flickering flame

OPERATING THE HANDLE LIGHT
The Weber Grill Out™ Handle Light has a built-in "Tilt Sensor." With the power button (a)
activated, the light will come on when the grill lid is open. The light will turn off when the lid
is closed. For daytime use, deactivate the sensor by pressing power button (a).

ROTISSERIE TROUBLESHOOTING

CHECK
Did you hold the burner control knob in and
hold in for 20 seconds until after burner
ignited?
Did you wait to see the entire ceramic surface
become alight before counting 20 seconds?
Did you repeatedly use the snap ignition until
the burner ignited?
Does the igniter work (Do you see a spark
when you repeatedly use the snap igniter?
The excess flow safety device, which is part of
the barbecue to cylinder connection, may have
activated.

HANDLE LIGHT TROUBLESHOOTING
CHECK
Handle Light activated?
Handle Light positioned correctly on the handle?
SIDEBURNER TROUBLESHOOTING
CHECK
Is gas supply off?
The excess flow safety device, which is part
of the barbecue to cylinder connection, may
have activated.
Is the fuel hose bent or kinked?
Does burner light with a match?

Try to relight burner by holding burner control knob in and continue holding in until
20 seconds after burner has ignited.
When relighting burner by holding burner control knob in, wait to see the entire
ceramic surface become alight before counting 20 seconds?
After waiting five minutes for gas to clear, try repeatedly using the snap igniter until
the burner ignites (refer to "Lighting the Rotisserie Burner").
Try manually lighting the burner (refer to "Lighting the Rotisserie Burner"). Call
customer service.
To reset the excess flow safety device turn all burner control knobs and the cylinder
valve to "OFF". Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control
knobs to "START/HI". Wait at least 1 minute. Turn burner control knobs to "OFF".
Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. Turn cylinder valve on slowly. Refer to
"Lighting Instructions".
Replace batteries.
See assembly illustration.
Light will activate when lid is open.
Press the power button.
Adjust position (See assembly illustration).
Turn supply on.
To reset the excess flow safety device turn all burner control knobs and the cylinder
valve off. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to
START/HI. Wait at least 1 minute. Turn burner control knobs to "OFF". Reconnect
the regulator to the cylinder. Turn cylinder valve on slowly. Refer to "Lighting
Instructions".
Straighten hose.
If match lights burner, check igniter (see Sideburner Maintenance).
