17.1. Motherboard Tray Battery
Replacement Overview
This is a high-level overview of the procedure to replace the DGX-2 System motherboard tray
battery.
1. Get a replacement battery - type CR2032.
2. Shut down the system.
3. Label all motherboad cables and unplug them.
4. Remove the motherboard tray, place on a solid, flat surface.
5. Remove the left PCI riser card.
6. Use the reference diagram on the lid of the motherboard tray to identify the battery
placement.
7. Replace the dead battery with the new one.
8. Replace the left PCI riser card.
9. Insert the motherboard tray into the system.
10.Plug in all cables using the labels as a reference.
11.Apply power to the system and then boot the system.
12.Verify the date and time on the system BIOS.
