TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Engine will not start
Engine does not reach full speed
and emits excessive smoke.
Oil drips from muffler.
Bar and chain running hot and
smoking.
Motor runs, but chain is not
rotating.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
No spark
No fuel
Engine is flooded
Starter cord is hard to pull
Fuel mixture is incorrect
Air filter is dirty
Spark arrestor screen is dirty
Operating the product at part

Lubricant/fuel mixture is dirty
Air filter is dirty
Chain tension is in overtightened.
Chain oil tank is empty.
Chain tension is too tight.
Issue in guide bar and chain
assembly.
Guide bar and chain is damaged.
SOLUTION
The spark plug may be damaged. Remove it and check for dirt
and cracks. Replace with a new spark plug.
Push the primer bulb until bulb is full of fuel. If bulb does not
fill, the primary fuel delivery system is blocked. Contact an
authorised service centre. If the primer bulb fills, the engine
may be flooded. Proceed to the next item.
Ensure on/off switch is set to the off position. Remove the
spark plug from the engine and the spark plug boot. Turn
off the product so that the spark plug hole is aimed at the
ground. Make sure the choke lever is set to
starter cord 10 to 14 times. This clears excess fuel from the
engine. Clean and reinstall the spark plug. With the throttle
trigger fully pressed, pull the starter cord 3 times. If the engine
does not start, set the choke lever to
starting instructions. If the engine still fails to start, repeat the
procedure with a new spark plug.
Contact an authorised service centre.
Use fresh fuel and the correct 2-stroke oil mix
Clean the air filter according to the instructions in the
Maintenance section.
Contact an authorised service centre.
Operate the product at full throttle.
Use fresh fuel and correct synthetic 2-stroke lubricant mix.
Clean the air filter per instruction in "Maintenance" section.
Check the tension of the chain. Refer to the "Chain tension"
section in this manual.
Check oil tank.
Retention chain. Refer to "Chain tension" section in this
manual.
